Territory Supervisor (Current Employee) says

"Having worked for Hallmark in a supervisory position for 4 years i can honestly say that they do bot care about their employees that are out in the field working. They offer bribes that aren't obtainable for all during a pandemic, and just genuinely don't care. They are focused only on the well being of their office staff and movie stars while the rest of us risk our lives and are poorly compensated for it. They really are an evil corporation who does not hold true to their motto of caring enough to send the very best!! Cons: You cant get a 2nd job due to everchanging schedule and conflict of interest"

Sales Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"I had a bad experience with them. Management was not supportive at all. I was given over 55 territories with no supervision. Both of my supervisors had disability’s and one of them would forget everything I said and blame things on me. They were not supportive and corporate does not care when you call in to say anything. They give you to much work with support or help. They wanted to keep piling on more territory’s but no pay increase. They don’t care about their employees"

Mechandiser (Former Employee) says

"Terrible company to work for! You work hard for no appreciation. Only thing good was the ability to work on your own. But when the regional manager came to the store, she treated me awful!"

Merchandiser (part-time) says

"This company does not treat people fairly. The hr department is rude the managers lie and report stuff about you that's not true. Not a good company to work for at all. If you quit they will flag you so you can NEVER WORK FOR THEM AGAIN AT A LATER TIME Cons: If you decide to quit and give your notice they will tell you they don't need you."

Retail Merchandiser (Former Employee) says

"Management unable to maintain proper decorum. Unavailable. Unwilling to provide assistance or answer questions. Maintained a constant overstock of product too much to fit plan-o-gram and still demanded placement in too little time."

Sales Associate (Current Employee) says

"Work-life balance"

Retail Merchandiser (Current Employee) says

"The territory managers arent always communicating the job. Hardly ever answer emails or txt messages. None of the higher ups are willing to.work with you. There is always another coworker doing your job on the sly."

Merchandiser (Former Employee) says

"Not enough hours No good pay manager was lazy lied on me went against work rules; put all work on me. Talk on the phone while on clock but told me that I couldnt make an emergency call Cons: Short breaks not enough hours"

Sales Lead/Key Holder (Former Employee) says

"Pay & benefits"

Merchandiser (Former Employee) says

"They gave you contracted hours, but in quiet times there was not enough work to cover the hours so you lost out, they only paid you the time spent in store. Extra hours in season times, working weekends and extra in weekdays, but doesnt make up for the summer months when there is nothing to do. Management always take the side of store management. Hallmark tell you to do one thing, store says the opposite, stuck in the middle most of the time, with no back up from your own manager. Bad management, min wage, not worth travelling to store Cons: want you to work extra when they need you"

Warehouse building services/stock/order filler (Former Employee) says

"Corporate greed at it’s finest . Company gives no advancement opportunities for it’s hardest workers. The place is a bad version of high school gossip"

Retail Merchandising (Former Employee) says

"I worked over a year for this company. No time off allowed. The work was very demanding and and yet they never provided nearly enough hours to complete the job. If they ask you to work stores outside your territory they will not pay you for mileage. I drove 25 miles/ almost 40 minutes to a site because they NEEDED coverage and they asked I work another merchandisers account until they hire someone and they didn’t pay for either my time or miles. They excused it by saying “no one pays you drive to work.” Not true because if it is a favor a company needs done a job I was NOT hired to do company’s will provide compensation. I lost an more than an hour driving and extra mileage I was not paid for. My supervisor suggested I add my accounts so I could get paid and I was working more than 8 hours in one day. This is the worst company that pays nothing gives nothing treats their employees like they own all our time off the clock-no vacation no time off nothing. Cons: Not enough time to do the job, low pay, laborious tedious and dirty."

Sales Representative (Former Employee) says

"Terrible company to work for. Merchandise never had instructions. Stores didn’t respect you as a vendor. Very unorganized management team. Never seen my boss. Always received phone calls while on the job, then she would reprimanded me for being on the phone. Just ridiculous company as a whole. Cons: Everything about the company from management to the way it was ran."

Merchandising (Former Employee) says

"When you go to work to expect to get compensated, you expect to enjoy your job, Cons: This job sucks."

Retail Merchandiser (Former Employee) says

"The work was enjoyable but could not be completed due to time constraints. The management of the company is out of touch with the product accounts and its "worker bees". Poor communication only added to the chaos and the lack of support made the job harder than it needed to be. Cons: Management, ridiculous expectations, lousy compensation"

Retail Merchandiser (Current Employee) says

"This is probably the most disgusting company I have ever worked for. Our Territory Manager used to tell us daily we didn’t matter. That’s encouraging working for a company like that. Can’t say enough bad things. For $14/hour- you literally cannot get paid any less. You are treated like garbage. Cons: Everything"

RM (Current Employee) says

"They advertise flexibility with time and schedule but that is not true. Very poor management. They micromanage and have favorites. Don't expect help or credit for your efforts or work. Cons: Everything else"

Retail Merchandiser (Current Employee) says

"Too demanding during seasoning change over, it all has to be done all in one day. With one person to take product down throw it away, reset 20 foot, plus end of aisles ."

Installation Merchandiser (Former Employee) says

"Never called me for work. Never called to tell me of I still had or job or anything. No set schedules never knew what location your going to. Never got trained!"

District Manager (Former Employee) says

"J’s Hallmark in Norman OKC could be an amazing store if the owners would let the management do their job, instead out of greed they control and micromanage everything and cause a tremendous amount of drama making it a very stressful environment. They care only about the bottom $ causing them to under pay and shortchange their employees."
